Launched in the Bay Area in 2019 by Anurag Goel, Render has been working tirelessly for the last 3 years to offer developers an easier and more cost-effective approach to building and scaling applications. Render is a unified cloud services platform for engineering teams who want to focus on bringing ideas to market sooner instead of managing undifferentiated infrastructure. Render customers can easily build and scale apps and websites on the industry’s most modern developer platform with a global CDN, DDoS protection, private networks, autodeploys from Git and free TLS certificates. As the #1 alternative to platform as a service vendors, Render costs up to 80% less than Heroku, its largest competitor, and is remarkably easier to use. The company is a 2019 TechCrunch Startup Battlefield winner and is privately held by investors including General Catalyst and Y Combinator.

SourceCode was tasked with the challenge to announce their Series A funding round to demonstrate Render’s growth and momentum to further increase coverage and industry brand knowledge.

WHAT WE DID

Our strategy was to establish Render as an expert source in the cloud/multi-cloud industry through proactive media outreach and thought leadership opportunities, laying the groundwork for the forthcoming announcement. We prepared and used the Series A announcement to demonstrate Render’s growth and momentum in the cloud industry and why it is the better choice than the “Big Tech” clouds. In addition, we had a goal to raise the profile of Render’s Founder and CEO by developing an executive platform for Anurag Goel and begin introducing him to key tech, business and cloud publications.
