NEW YORK—August 12, 2021—SourceCode Communications, a New York-based technology communications agency, today announced three new management appointments to help fuel the agency’s rapid growth trajectory. Karlsson Banks joined in August as Vice President of Consumer, and Amanda King in March as Vice President of Enterprise. Former consumer lead Nicole Pfeifer is now Vice President of Special Projects, a new role created to operationalize and lead new initiatives and business units.

Named the seventh fastest growing agency in the US by PRWeek this year, SourceCode Communications gained 12 new clients over the last year across their core competencies, consumer, enterprise and insights & engagement. This includes Gorillas, the on-demand grocery delivery startup and the fastest European startup to reach unicorn status; Kinship, dedicated to reimagining the pet parenting experience through innovative products and services; and Heap, the leading digital insights platform. In March, SourceCode launched WeRaise PR, a full-service public relations agency incubator dedicated to advancing working mothers in the PR industry while delivering integrated campaigns to brands. And this year, the SourceCode-led Diversity Marketing Consortium (DMC), a collection of agencies providing $1.5 million in marketing services to companies with diverse founders, was incorporated as a NY State 501c3.

“Greg and I started SourceCode Communications because we wanted to shift the paradigm of how brands tell their story in creative, innovative and strategic ways,” said Rebecca Honeyman, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of SourceCode Communications. “Today, we’re so amazed at what our agency has become, and that’s because of the incredible group of storytellers we’ve hired across all levels. Karlsson and Amanda will continue that tradition for our enterprise and consumer clients, and Nicole’s extensive time with us already means she’s the right person to support the next phase of growth for SourceCode.”

Together, Banks and King bring more than 25 years of experience in communications and brand management, navigating highly-regulated industries, developing engaging 360-degree campaigns, and managing account and project growth across the consumer and B2B sectors. Banks joins from Clarity PR where he was the agency’s Interim Vice President; he also spent time at M Booth, Ketchum and Multiply. King was most recently Vice President at Matter Communications, where she spent six years helping to grow the Boulder office; previous roles were at Metzger Albee Public Relations and Emanate PR.

“SourceCode brings unmatched intelligence, creativity and collaboration to their client work, and I couldn’t be more excited to join the team,” said Banks.

Added King: “I’ve never seen enterprise communications approached with the level of humanity SourceCode does; they’re already miles ahead of others in the industry, so it was an obvious choice to join the team and help contribute to something great.”

Pfeifer was most recently SourceCode’s Vice President of Consumer. In this newly created role of Vice President of Special Projects, Pfeifer will work closely with Becky, Greg and the rest of the management team to help operationalize and shepherd strategic business initiatives into existence.

“When I joined SourceCode in early 2019, we were barely 10 employees strong and were huddled together in a co-working space. Today, we’ve more than tripled in size, have expanded our client service offerings, and launched truly impactful initiatives like WeRaise and the DMC,” says Pfeifer. “I’m thrilled to be given the opportunity to continue our rapid growth trajectory, and look forward to working with the full team on what’s next.”

These new appointments bring SourceCode’s management team to seven, following last year’s hiring of Senior Vice President Kristen Stippich. Both King and Banks report to Stippich, with Pfeifer now reporting to Co-Founder and Managing Partner, Greg Mondshein.

The agency has been recognized for its notable work with consumer and B2B clients, taking home best consumer campaign of the year for Everlast Worldwide’s “Be First” Campaign at PRovoke Media’s 2020 SABREAwards North America, and coming in second place nationally and fourth globally in PRovoke Media’s Global PR Agency Rankings 2020. SourceCode also took home the honor of being named PRWeek’s 2020 US Outstanding Boutique Agency.
