Last fall, SourceCode enacted its SourceCode Strong program, a series of benefits aiming at giving more back to employees for the hard work they put in every day. Part of this is SourceCode Fridays, where the agency operates on a 37-hour work schedule every week, allowing employees to sign off at 2 pm and get a head start on their weekends.

The nature of the workweek has shifted so much over the last few years, so as a people-first organization, we feel responsible for ensuring our employees can clearly define their work/life balance. So far, it’s been a fan favorite here, with many of our employees taking advantage to engage in all kinds of activities.

With Summer officially underway, we wanted to highlight a few folks and what they’ve been able to do with their early weekend.

Greg Mondshein – Managing Partner

Nothing says “Summer Friday” like getting outside and soaking up the warm weather. That’s exactly what Greg has done, spending his extra time traveling to and relaxing on the beach with his wife and daughters. Between building sand castles and tossing some kids in the pool, we’d say it’s a day well spent.

Jason Weinberger – Digital Director, Strike2

Extra time means family time for Jason and the Weinberger household, especially when it comes to finding unique ways to have fun. One special Friday included slip-sliding through a bubble foam pool! To be honest, we’re quite jealous…

Jeanne Hernandez – Human Resources Lead

While spending time to relax, travel, or be with family is important, so too is getting a leg up on personal chores. Whether going to the grocery store, doing laundry, or meal prepping for the week, Jeanne uses her time to mark off her check-list and dedicate the weekend to the things she loves!
