Challenge

Our Fortune 10 client hosts an annual conference where advertising executives, customers, partners, and prospects gather to learn about news and product launches unveiled through keynotes and breakout sessions. Our team had a dual role in lending event planning support in the months leading up to the event and media relations support by conducting media outreach for four notable announcements and organizing on-site experiences for the invite-only media. This required the highest level of collaboration and strategic guidance to meet KPIs set by the company’s leadership team.

Solution

By working with multiple internal points of contact across teams, we led a planning process consisting of frequent meetings and clear communication with internal stakeholders. Doing so allowed us to be the conduit for clear and direct communication across functions to ensure a successful event. At the same time, we had a leading role in creating the strategy, messaging, and content for the four news announcements, including identifying and owning media outreach, facilitating executive briefings, coordinating impromptu media meetings during the event, and organizing the coverage reporting process.
