Building AuthenticID’s Share of Voice

15

Pieces of coverage in target verticals

5th to 2nd in SOV

Share of voice increase in 3 months

Challenge

SourceCode Communications was tasked with raising brand awareness and establishing credibility for AuthenticID. The company sought a strategic partner capable of amplifying media coverage across technology, business, and industry trade sectors while providing strategic counsel, enhancing thought leadership, and increasing its share of voice relative to competitors.

Solution

To increase AuthenticID’s share of voice, we proposed leveraging strategic announcements to enhance its visibility.

Additionally, we capitalized on newsjacking opportunities by building a robust list of pre-approved commentary for quick-turn opportunities, ensuring no opportunity was missed.

As part of this, conducted an intake session with AuthenticID’s Founder/President and VP of Product Management to align on key themes and messaging for proactive outreach, including the company’s injection attacks announcement

We targeted key security, retail and financial publications to elevate AuthenticID’s reputation as a premier provider of identity proofing and fraud prevention solutions. This involved securing thought leadership opportunities for its executives, including bylines, interviews and written commentary on current industry trends.

Leveraging key messaging about synthetic ID fraud from AuthenticID’s blog posts, we successfully secured briefings and byline opportunities with top tier outlets like Dark Reading and American Banker.

Results

In three months, SourceCode took AuthenticID from 5th place in Share of Voice to 2nd place, quarter over quarter

Secured 15 pieces of coverage in AuthenticID’s target verticals including cybersecurity, retail, technology, and finance sectors.

The majority of AuthenticID’s coverage in Q2 stemmed from the deepfakes and injection attacks announcement.

This led to multiple feature pieces in SiliconANGLE, AiThority, and HelpNetSecurity, along with coverage in Find Biometrics and Solutions Review, among others.

As a result of our newsjacking efforts, we secured executive commentary inclusions:

InformationWeek – Blair Cohen, Founder and President commentary on the Kaiser Permanente privacy breach

Cyber Protection Magazine – Blair Cohen, Founder and President commentary on election misinformation

We also secured bylines with Total Retail and BiometricUpdate on synthetic identity fraud and identity as the first line of defense, respectively.

Generated new reporter relationships with Solutions Review and InformationWeek.
