This Monday, we recognize Juneteenth, a national holiday commemorating the effective end of slavery in the U.S. and celebrating African-American culture. Juneteenth is about celebrating our history while challenging ourselves to keep pushing for a more equitable future. At SourceCode, we strive every day to be a company that is reflective of the world around us, diversifying our community, thoughts, and actions. This June also marks the second anniversary of the Diversity Marketing Consortium, an initiative we launched with partners that offers pro bono communications services provided to women and POC-led startups. With a goal to change the face of corporate America and accelerate brand growth for under-represented founders, we’re proud to have just recently hit its milestone of $1M of services provided. With Juneteenth approaching, our team at SourceCode pulled together a resource guide of ways to observe this momentous event in history, so we can continue to educate ourselves and support the African-American community.
